The 2 staff that we met were very attentive and polite. The rooms were clean (especially the beds and bedding) and included a kettle with tea & coffee etc. The breakfast was £5 extra per person. It was basic but plentiful, and included a nice cooked breakfast if required.
We chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest that we could find, as we were having to visit Edinburgh on a budget. This is a converted house and is probably the equivalent of a 1 to 2 star. We were in a downstairs room which had a wash basin as it didn't have an ensuite bathroom. The room was airy and clean. The beds were new with good mattresses but the furnishings were old and basic.
The shared toilet would NOT pass UK Health and Safety regulations - it had an old carpet which must contain many years of germs. Anyone coming out of the toilet is in immediate in sight of the reception area and only a few feet away from the dining room - not very hygenic! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and as we couldn't afford the better and more expensive hotels in Edinburgh, we were grateful to have found this one. I would only stay there again if we could have a room with it's own bathroom.
Staff were very friendly; the pool was a blessing after walking around in the sweltering sun (and you get a plate of Watermelon to help with the cooling down process); fantastic traditional breakfast; great roof terrace; located in the heart of the old town and they offer a cheap airport transfer.
This is a beautiful hotel that was an absolute pleasure to stay in. The hotel is finished to an incredibly high standard, the restaurants were delicious and the staff were incredibly attentive and lovely so speak with. The hotel was a luxurious haven to return to after a hard day shopping on New York's busy streets!
Beautifully furnished rooms. Fantastic location - Chelsea's a foodie's delight - lots of fantastic restaurants and bars to choose from. The rooms are a delight to stay in and the staff are very friendly in true New York style.
This hotel is in a really great spot. We had a room with a balcony so were able to get up each morning to see amazing views. It's just a hens hop from the beach too. Perfect hotel for sun seekers.
Stunning hotel. We loved every minute and had to drag ourselves out the door when we finally checked out. This is a luxurious treat for anyone looking for a city break. It's right in the centre of Rome too, so were able to get lost in the side streets and stumble upon some great little pizza restaurants. Can't wait to return!
