We want everyone to have the chance of a break away from the daily grind but make sure you have the funds. The best way is to save in advance but even on impulse it can be done.
Believe it or not some of us get so excited about are time away that we forget to book the hotel. Can you imagine arriving at your destination after a 10 hour journey, kids in tow, fully loaded only to realise as you are coming through departures that you have nowhere to stay. It does happen!
We don’t want to sound boring but we will. Be prepared, we suggest that you have given thought to your journey prior to departure. The longer the journey the more you should plan.
Take what you need and consider any travel restrictions or local rules. Pack smart is our advice.
Can you imagine your own home alone situation. Check, double check and triple check that all the party are on the coach.
Even going away for a single night you need to consider your pets. Some may want to take the pets with them, whereas others will liaise with neighbours and friends to make sure that the pets will be okay.
If you are travelling overseas, depending from where you are departing you may need to get currency. We recommend that this is done prior to travel, at least for part of your needs, not only because you will get a better rate but also because you will be prepared.
Have you booked the time off with the boss? If not, you may be in for a nasty surprise upon your return. Forget at your peril.
Get up early and set off early. Firstly, you do not want to miss any connections and secondly who wants to waste a moment of holidaying?
With all the planning, saving, borrowing, packing and rushing around, don’t forget to enjoy.
