1. St. Ive’s
We love Cornwall and we love St.Ive’s. St.Ives is right at the very tip of Cornwall, your chance to visit land’s end. It is great for families with beautiful beaches, rock pools, cliff walks, and a lovely town with loads of history but still modern conveniences of cinemas, shops, swimming pools and museum.
St;Ives is well located to visit all the attractions of Cornwall from surfing at Newquay to the Eden Project near St.Austell
2. St. David’s
We love Pembrokeshire as much as we love Cornwall. St. David’s has to be one of the most picturesque places in the whole of the United Kingdom. It is a beautiful place with fantastic beach, walks and incredible castle in the centre of St.David’s. We recommend St. David’s for families and couples alike.
It is a great destination for winter and summer alike.
3. Brighton
Brighton has to be one of the most cosmopolitan places in the World let alone the United Kingdom. It has to be said the Brighton genuine does has something for everyone from the famous pebble beach, the peer, the rock, the night life, the shops and of course the accommodation.
Brighton is fun whatever the season and whatever the weather.
4. Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. Visit the castle, the national gallery, the parliament buildings, the shops and the hundreds of historical buildings and monuments throughout the city. Edinburgh is perfect for young and old alike. There is plenty to see and plenty to do all year round.
To make your trip extra special visit in August during the internationally famous Edinburgh festival. Don’t forget to book early to avoid disappointment!
5. Windermere
Lake Windermere is one of the most beautiful places in England. Windermere is popular with overseas visitors, offering diverse beauty and interest in all seasons.
It is a walker’s paradise with absolutely loads to do for young and old alike. Windermere is always a popular destination throughout the seasons.
6. London
No top 10 list of the United Kingdom would be without the Capital City, London. Over the past decade London has become the financial capital of the World. London is steeped in history but also one of the most modern cities in the World. There is so much to see and do in London that you could stay months and still only scratched the service. London is very easy to get to from planes, to cars, to trains to buses.
It is also as easy to move around on the any of the famous double decker buses or the equally famous underground or indeed the equally iconic black cabs.
7. Tenby
We said that we loved Pembrokeshire so another beautiful beach destination on the eastern side of Pembrokeshire. Tenby is much bigger than St. Davids offering everything you would expect from a large town. Tenby is a great base to visit many of the stunning castles in this part of Wales.
We have spend a whole week just touring all the Castles in this area and would highly recommend.
8. Beer
Beer is a picturesque seaside fishing village in the heart of East Devon that is built around a small cove. It is a beautiful place to stay or visit. It is almost in a time warp.
All the locals are very friendly, lovely little shops, nice beach and great food (fish of course!). Just beware the steep hill down to the cove.
9. Aberdeen
Aberdeen is Scotland on the coast. It is a large, modern city on the East Coast of Scotland. You can chose from lovely long walks in the winter to a refreshing dip in the summer.
Aberdeen is full of places to see and things to do with beautiful parks, cathedrals, theatres and even its own Premier League football team.
10. Blackpool
Blackpool is not the Rivera of the West Coast of England but it is somewhere very special and unique. Blackpool was the holiday destination of choice for Victorian Britain.
It still retains much of its charm and character from the Victorian age. We recommend a visit to Blackpool anytime in the year although a trip in October would see the famous Blackpool lights.
