Belfast hotels

Belfast has been described as a ‘city on the rise’ and with it fast becoming a popular city break destination, it has been transformed by millions of pounds of investment in visitor attractions, restaurants, clubs and hotels. Now peaceful after years of conflict, the Northern Ireland capital welcomes tourists to discover its history, explore its Edwardian and Victorian architecture and enjoy its new modern attractions. Once famous for its linen, tobacco and rope making industries and of course the birth place of the Titanic, Belfast has come a long way from an oversized village to the thriving city it is today. Roomguide have plenty of luxury and cheap hotels in Belfast so you can witness the strong sense of cultural identity that belongs to this vibrant city. Belfast's greatest asset is the warmth, resilience and character of its people and this makes it a true ‘people’s city’ with plenty of museums, galleries, shopping, restaurants and visitor attractions, you’ll feel as though you’re right at home in Belfast.

See one of the city’s most famous landmarks, Belfast Castle where you can enjoy the beautiful castle gardens and the nearby Cave Hill Country Park which also has an adventure playground for children. Located in the Botanic Gardens in Belfast, the Ulster Museum is a treasure house of the past and present, home to a rich collection of art, history and natural sciences.  The Titanic Quarter is one of Europe’s largest and most exciting waterfront developments and is well worth a visit. The 185 acre site on the banks of the River Lagan has been transformed into a mixed use maritime quarter. Rich in history, it is centered upon former shipbuilding land where the RMS Titanic, Olympic and SS Canberra were launched and also features hotels, theatres, parklands, water sports and galleries. Belfast Zoo and the Cathedral are also must see attractions. The theatre scene in Belfast is varied with a number of venues to suit a variety of tastes. The twin-domed 19th century Grand Opera House is one of the city’s most famous entertainment venues, where Luciano Pavarotti made his UK debut and the Lyric Theatre is the only producing theatre in Northern Ireland. The nightlife in Belfast has grown with the redevelopment of the city boasting a strong pub and club culture. The ‘Golden Mile’ has a number of popular trendy bars and lively nightclubs and the City Centre and Cathedral Quarter have a more upmarket and stylish range of cosmopolitan bars and nightclubs.
